A quickie update

The moment I stepped into the 'real' working world life has certainly changed. I would say there are so much unexpected things in life that we might not see.

Working life is good, as a fresh grad I can't say much about the pay but as an accounting graduate this is an opportunity for me to learn a lot of stuff. Whatever I have learn in my books well not all are applicable in the working world but there are still bit and pieces that still can be used.

I am trying my best to work hard and do my best. But not all things has been smooth sailing for me.... this time I chose to keep quiet from office politics but it came attacking me well... one thing I have learned is that in any office you may be in there will always be office politics it all depends on how you want to face it and deal with it. For me I chose to ignore it, give in but not all as I still want to be myself.

Peak season is near now so life is getting hectic. Do I like it? Hell I do, but at this time I do miss some of my best buds ^^

Wish everyone well and God Bless everyone.

Toodles.

The First Step into the real world.

Photobucket

So much has happened for the past 1 1/2 months. I had a short and brief period working at the old language center, I was happy to got back and work and get to meet up with my old colleagues and buddies.

Within that month I also made some new friends. That was the happy part... the most disappointing part working there again, was the management. I felt unhappy there, as I felt the management is exploiting their staffs and grinding and making life a living hell there. Don't make me start with the sad facilities. The only thing the provide staff is water....which occasionally runs out of stock, but to be fair within that one month, water was abundant or so to say. There were so many stupid and unnecessary restrictions, which makes working experience there very unpleasant.

The office politics there was slightly better but not really, anyways soon, by the grace of God, I got another job, a job that I wanted to go for, that is an audit assistant. I quickly accepted the offer and quit the center, I felt bad about doing that but to be fair, I studied accounting and not teaching and I would love to get a go in the audit field and start learning. Pay wise it may be small but I can learn! That is important.

Once I was in the new office, I felt at ease and I settled down quite fast, facilities provided to the staffs was adequate as compared to my old workplace, there was so much difference. Work time was more normal.

My colleagues over at my new workplace are fun and friendly people. At least I could save some money while working here for I can bring my food and heat it up, I could have warm nice meal for lunch.

I am enjoying myself and I am ready to face the challenges of life and ever so ready to absorbed new knowledge. Wish me luck.

Life...what is life?

Recently, there are so many questions that is circulating and popping up in my mind. Questions like... am I too straight forward and blunt? Am I too verbal? Why is life so complicated? Why is love so complicated and feeling lost.

In such a short time, so much has happened. Frictions, misunderstandings, failed relationships (or so to say), failure to obtain a job for so long. Am I seeing Kuching from another view? Should leave this place? Is it God calling and nudging me to leave this city?

So many questions, but so little answers. Someone you care is not answering your phone and you do not know what is wrong, messages left not replied and it starts to make you think, what went wrong? What is the problem? Was there is misunderstanding somewhere? Gosh I really would love to know.

Life oh life, why oh why do you have to be so harsh. I am currently lost for words. It is time, I guess it is time for a time-out.

Sam's big 3

Just last month, Samuel Celebrated his 30th birthday. Since on that they he was traveling and would only be back late in the evening we decided to celebrate it with him right after he arrive. We decided to have the celebration at Mc Gregors, Brighton Square.

So, after Henry and Cuthbert picked up Samuel from the airport, they came over and picked me and it was off to a wild wild celebration of trying to get Sam drunk. We got Sam his favourite cake and before making him drunk, cake cutting ceremony and blowing candles is a must for the birthday boy.

Interview & Work --->

This morning I was asked to do some form fill in and to do a pre-interview assessment in Ernst & Young Kuching. I must admit I was nervous of what I will be tested and I would say it was pretty tough questions. I can only hope that I have done well for it. I really hope and do pray hard that I will be able to get this job, as they have pretty good pay and the working environment is not bad plus I think I may be able to learn a lot of things there. May God bless me though.

Currently I am teaching part-time at PBTJ as a way to kill off my time while I wait for a job offer and also was thinking in line of earning extra income. I do enjoy teaching the students and in a way introduced the students to a new method of teaching, that is using a projector and teaching them through power point slides which so far was good for the first day, which is today. Hopefully, the students understood what I was conveying to them.

That is all for now. Wait up for more posts~! God Bless you all!

My 2nd round of Blood Donation.

Can anyone of you guess when was the last time I donated my blood? If your answer is 1 year....nah...wrong... if your answer is 2 years...it is also wrong. It has been 4 years!! Yes! 4 freaking years since I last donated my blood. That was back in April 2007. I have been out from the blood donating drive for quite some time and I am back again!

Photobucket
My lil Blood book =D

Before the blood donation, they will have to test your blood pressure and hemoglobin. If everything goes well, you may proceed to donate your blood. A person can donate their blood every 3 months. Note: You can't donate your blood every month. Before you donate your blood, make sure you are not in any sort of medication for the past few months or weeks, not engage in any unhealthy sexual activities and also make sure you get plenty of rest and your feel great on the day of your blood donation.

As for me, everything was fine, blood pressure was good, hemoglobin fine too. So off I went and laid down to give my blood. The funny thing was that my blood is so eager to leave my body. Since the first time I donated, it was easy to search for my blood veins and my blood flow was fast. It took a few mins less than 5? for the bag to fill up.

Photobucket
My Shepherd's virgin attempt in donating his blood. =P

The one thing I hate about blood donation is... the needles... I hate needles...and actually I am bloodphobic (I created this word) . So when I donate blood, I try not to look at it too much or the consequences will be detrimental. LOL.

Well, that is all for now. I hope all of you readers out there can do your share in donating your blood too. Next stop for me ... organ donation!

Farmville Reality~

It has been quite a while since the last time I have blogged.... yeap....stretch the quite. Life has been good. I went for 3 months of internship which was very rewarding and I am currently doing my final semester. (YES!) Finally... I have come such a long way.

To highlight some of the stuff of my life. I recently went to a friend's orchard. It was about an hour plus drive from downtown Kuching. The drive brought us to this small coastal town called Sematan. Sematan provides one with clean beautiful beach. Before going off to the beach, we stopped by at the orchard first. After that we went to the beach to have some activities, except swimming because all of us didn't bring extra clothings. Ya...how stupid can we get.... but nevertheless the orchard outing was fantastic. We had a fun time harvesting the fruits, most of them...well all of them the local fruits here.

We harvested a lot of dragon fruit, really a lot, it was like a dragon fruit harvesting frenzy. We went from plant to plant to pluck the ripe dragon fruits.

We also harvested a lot of lemons, papayas and a few oranges. (The oranges were sour and I made it into Juice... hail to Vitamin Cs!)

It was really something different and I can't wait to go back and start harvesting fruits and fish the fish from the pond... =P

Lost Again?

I definitely have disappeared from my blogging life for a long time. Just a quicky update on my life.

Life has been well shall I say pretty exciting. I am already in my final semester all thanks to our great God's Wisdom and blessings upon me.

This semester break, I was fortunate enough and again thanks to the Lord, I was able to do my internship at Ernst and Young. Life in the office as an Intern is should I say very interesting. Life there was really busy and hectic jobs keeps coming and the timeline was really tight.

I am now getting ready for my final and new semester. Wish me luck and God Bless.

Study Study

Sighs... I just hate exams. When it comes to exams stress level goes up and all the problems comes... you can't sleep, can't eat or the opposite you eat too much. For me I can't really sleep and I ended up sleeping really late.

I have just completed 2 papers and I have another 2 more papers to go. 1 paper on 2nd Dec and the last one on the 4th Dec... still a long way to go before my stress level officially comes down. Sighs...

Sometimes... I just get so tired of studying I just took out the phone and this is what happens... =P

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me explain the above Chinese post. Recently I have watched a Singaporean drama series called the golden path. There was this character in this series whereby the lady said. Even if I cry the day will still pass, Even when I smile the day will still pass. Might as well I just smile away the worries better than crying everyday making life miserable.

So I sat down and gave it a good thought. How true is this, life could be so much better if we just think positive. No matter what hardship we face, we should always face it with a positive attitude and not cry ourselves out like there is no tomorrow. So I told myself, from today onwards no matter how hard life can be I will try my best to keep smiling and smiling and solve the problem with a positive attitude. In this way I can keep myself looking young too. Haha...vain right?

The art of Taking a deep breath and let out and forget

One of the things that I had learnt in life is not to fret and think about things too much. Overdose of thinking about certain things brings so much stress to one's life. Quarrels and conflicts of life do play a part of making life... a bit unbearable.

Different people will have different ways of coping with such situations. As for me I decided to take things easy. Thus, over the years I guess I have mastered the art of taking a deep breath let it out and forget about it and make my life happier and more meaningful. It was really hard at first as there are people who tries hard to make your life miserable and downright unworthy. Some speak ill of you, some look down on you. Nevertheless, I will work hard to forgive for I am a person who doesn't like to look for faults. Just let it be... and well ignore the person.

So my way is to take a deep breath and just forget about it. How about you?

Wotaboutme

Oh well time for a little updates. Over the pass few weeks I have been busy? What was I busy about? Well I was busy on doing my revision. Now that my exams has passed and I am patiently waiting for my results. Wish me luck and do keep me in prayer that I will be able to pass my exams with flying colours.

On the other hand, I can't wait for July 10th to fly off. Huhuhuhu.... fly away~

Haircut

Yesterday I send my mum to the hairdresser that she usually goes to. Since she was having her teacher's day dinner she wanted to dye her hair. She insisted on me getting my hair cut at her saloon there. Initially, I didn't want to but after her much pursue I gave in and decided to give it a try. Since she said the hairdresser's daughter and son-in-law are reputable hairstylist whom came back from Singapore.

So, around 2p.m. we went to the salon. It is situated in the city centre and it is called Jen Jen. Recently, it went through extensive renovation so that the interior of the salon looks more modern. According to mum, she said the renovation was because the daughter and son-in-law came back from Singapore and wanted to upgrade the place. So, the interior of the newly renovated salon was quite nice.

The one in charge of cutting my hair was the owner's son-in-law. So after a few minutes wait he came over and cut my hair. He asked me how I would like my hair to look like and I replied him just trimming and off he goes to work. Before cutting my hair, a guy came and quick washed my hair. After that, action comes in...snip...snip...snip...rrrr...rrrrr...

After say 30 minutes he took out a mirror showed me the backside and asked how was it. Well... not bad not bad... at least I don't look that bad. He took some wax and sorta like style it up for a me a bit and showed me again. Well...honestly it doesn't look that bad.

I just realised when I cut my hair sort my face looks so plum.... I am fat...buhuhu... getting fatter....it is time to slim down! hahaha...

Actually when I looked back at the old photos...I prefer my old looks... I am going back to Jantzen to let them cut my hair... I think they do a better job...hahaha...

Missing You

It has been a week already since the last trio you came down here. Today was the day that you just arrived in the City of Kuching and I picked you up from the airport. Every time when you are here or when you are coming here, I am very happy and anxious for you to arrive.

At this time, we are having out dinner at Batu Lintang seafood hawker Centre. I always wanted to be by your side. I feel at eased when I am with you and peaceful. Every time that you are here, I just want to spend as much time together with you. I don't know but I just need you by my side and the world seems brighter.

Loving you was the best thing that has ever happened to me and I truly hope that I can spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be by your side during your rainy and sunny days and be by your side taking care of you.

Honey, I love you so much and I miss you so much

Wanna Thank You...

I was well being nostalgic ... and suddenly had to urge to write this out...

Take it as Ed's rantings haha...

Photobucket

Here is another sad sad story
Yet another broken hearted....

It started roughly two years ago
where I thought I finally found true love
It's safe to say that I really love you so
It was you the one who I always care

I would do anything to make you happy
I was not lonely anymore because I know
I have you...
But heaven forgive me for I was wrong

I thought I hated you
for the pain you have cursed upon me
But now I stand here and proudly declare
I don't hate you but I wanna thank you
I wanna thank you
for all you'd done
I wanna thank you
for the pain
I wanna thank you
for making me stronger
I wanna thank you
for making me wiser
I wanna thank you for giving me those heartaches
I wanna thank you...
Oh... I just wanna thank you

It's a month since you've left
I feel alone and afraid
It has been two weeks since you last called
I'm all alone, afraid and cold
Missing you terribly

I tried to call you
But all efforts were in vain
Cause what I got back was just pain
What have I done wrong
and to think that the I thought our love was strong

I thought I hated you
for the pain you have cursed upon me
But now I stand here and proudly declare
I don't hate you but I wanna thank you
I wanna thank you
for all you'd done
I wanna thank you
for the pain
I wanna thank you
for making me stronger
I wanna thank you
for making me wiser
I wanna thank you for giving me those heartaches
I wanna thank you...
Oh... I just wanna thank you

After a few weeks
We each went our separate ways
You said it won't work out
Cause we are far away

I had nothing more to say
Just let have it your way
for my heart has already become so numb
Numb from the pain that was constantly inflicted...

I thought I hated you
for the pain you have cursed upon me
But now I stand here and proudly declare
I don't hate you but I wanna thank you
I wanna thank you
for all you'd done
I wanna thank you
for the pain
I wanna thank you
for making me stronger
I wanna thank you
for making me wiser
I wanna thank you for giving me those heartaches
I wanna thank you...
Oh... I just wanna thank you

I just wanna....thank you...

Mental Note: Be early for my 10.30am classes

Well... it has almost been a month since I started classes *sighs* and as for studies I am coping quite alrighty here. I hope and pray to God that he will help me in my concentration. As the semester proceeds on, there are a number of things that I'll have to change and make a mental note.

Since it is already almost at the end of March and the foundation students has already started their classes... once again I have to wake up early and grab a good parking spot... because the good old days has come back to haunt me... the parking problems are back.

I remember on Tuesday... I had a 10.30am class when I reach the uni well around 10.00 and I went in the the multi-story car park as usual. When I entered the car park, to my surprise it was packed... I couldn't find a parking spot until the top floor... this is my first time ever going all the way to the top floor to get a parking spot for myself. It was round and round and round and round up there and it was not really fun.

But the rewarding part was that the view up there wasn't that bad afterall... I can see well.. .the whole campus and also the Central Business District of Kuching. So, that is the plus side.... the down side was the turns that I had to make. BUT....BUT I would rather go early and get a parking downstairs rather wasting my petrol driving all the way up there... I can always take the lift up anyway.

Can see the City Centre from here.

So...tomorrow I have another 10.30am class I gotta wake up early and go grab myself a good parking spot. Yee HA! Go EDWIN!!

I have already left the company for a week or so now. I started my classes last Monday. Everything is going well and seems smooth and okay. I need to put in more efforts into my studies.

the past....

For the past few months and year my life was like a roller coaster...ups and downs... things and choices that I have made in the past made me regret somehow. But all that is in the past now.... and a new chapter of my life begins.... I need to study hard get my degree and realise my purpose of life now.

All of my friends have move on... it is time for me to move on too. I miss Sylvia and Jadey a lot. I have not contacted Jason and well Kelly for ages now. I miss Florence... I miss Lone.... I miss Francis... Miss KP's laughter... Sighs... I wish they are right here beside me....

I have been giving some things quite a lot of thinking... I felt that forgiving someone is not going to be easy... but I am willing to forget the pass and forgive them... be it how they have treated me, I guess everyone deserves forgiveness...

Well that would be all I guess... toodles... =)

Reminisence

Time flies by so fast... its already the second month of 2009. The Chinese New Year is almost over. Tomorrow marks the last day of the celebration for the Chinese New Year.

Honestly, I love Chinese New Year. I love it when my close friends are all back here. I felt overjoyed spending time with time. Every second, was pure happiness and joy. I truly miss them so much now.

Yee Lone, Francis, KP, Florence and to make it worst... Sylvia is leaving... I will feel even more sad. Sighs....

Well... during this Chinese New Year, Francis, Lone, Tee Heng and me went back to our old High School (its our old school except for Tee Heng, he was from another school). It was a sad sight to see the old block was burnt down to dust and ashes. As we walked around the school, memories came flooding back into mind.

Over the years, the school has indeed changed so much, but no matter what there was still some connection between me and the school. Sometimes, how I wish I could go back to the old school days. I miss those days... I miss my close friends.
